Linguistic Quality
■ Comply with project requirements and translation quality standards
■ Stay loyal to the original without any misunderstanding or omission
■ Follow the provided glossary to ensure consistency
■ Read smoothly and fluently for the target audience
■ Be as concise as possible to avoid ambiguity, vagueness or incompleteness.
■ Suit the style of target language (punctuality, date, title and measurement).
DTP format
■ Check titles, subtitles, cross reference, reference, index, foot notes and headers, contents, icons and tables
■ Ensure style and format meet client’s requirement or DTP Style Standards
■ Check spelling or DTP errors
■ Ensure layout is appropriate in the target language
■ Ensure graphics and legends are positioned correctly as the original
■ Ensure there is no corruption and all characters are displayed correctly
Functionality test
■ Ensure website, software and online help are compatible with corresponding versions of Internet Explorer or operating systems
■ Ensure screens, buttons, dialogues and menus in documents, software or online help are functioning properly
■ Ensure character sets are displaying correctly; links and tabs are working properly
■ Ensure loading and pressure testing, bench testing, functionality and performance testing as well as accessibility testing results are acceptable.
